The Heart of Copper Kennels
A legacy built on love, health, and the golden spirit of Fox Red Labradors.
What started as a childhood fascination with the loyal nature of Labradors grew into a lifelong mission. At Copper Kennels, we don't just breed dogs; we nurture the next members of your family. Our journey began fifteen years ago with a single fox red female named Ginger, whose temperament and intelligence set the standard for every puppy born we produce. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest health standards while preserving the distinct, rich coat and gentle soul that define our line.

Our Mission & Values

We prioritize genetic testing and OFA clearances to ensure every puppy begins life with a foundation of strength and vitality.

Family Socialization
Raised in the heart of our home, our puppies interact daily with children and other pets to develop confident, loving temperaments.

Lifelong Support
Our commitment doesn't end at adoption. We offer lifelong mentorship and support to every family that brings a Copper Kennel puppy home.
Puppy Contract
Copper Kennels (hereinafter "Seller") offers all puppies exclusively with AKC Limited Registration. This Purchase Agreement (hereinafter "Contract") shall be executed upon the transfer of the puppy and payment of the agreed consideration. Upon possession, the Buyer assumes full legal and financial responsibility for the puppy, including but not limited to veterinary care, nutrition, training, boarding, AKC registration, and maintenance of a microchip subscription. The Buyer shall have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within seventy-two (72) hours of acquisition; the cost of said examination is the sole responsibility of the Buyer. If a licensed veterinarian determines the puppy has a severe hereditary condition (excluding parasites), the Buyer must notify the Seller immediately and provide written clinical findings. Upon returning the puppy at the Buyer’s expense within forty-eight (48) hours, the Seller will, at its discretion, provide a replacement puppy (within twelve (12) months) or a full refund.
Seller assumes no liability once the puppy departs the premises, including medical costs, mortality, third-party disapproval, allergies, behavioral issues, or accidental injury. The Buyer agrees to provide an age-appropriate diet and maintain all required vaccinations; failure to adhere to the vaccination schedule voids all guarantees. In the event the Buyer can no longer retain the dog at any stage of its life, the Buyer agrees to return the dog to Copper Kennels. The dog shall not be sold, gifted, or surrendered to a shelter without prior written approval from the Seller. The dog shall not be kept tethered or chained outdoors.
Health Guarantees: Seller provides a 14-day general health guarantee, a 6-month congenital defect guarantee, a 24-month ocular defect guarantee, and a 26-month hip dysplasia guarantee. The 14-day guarantee covers major health defects only, excluding common ailments such as mites, parasites, or environmental stress. The 6-month and 24-month guarantees apply to life-threatening or severe hereditary defects confirmed by the Seller’s veterinarian. The 26-month hip guarantee applies to severe crippling dysplasia as confirmed by OFA/PennHIP, provided the dog has not been overweight or subjected to excessive physical stress. Surgery or euthanasia documentation is required for replacements in permanent disability cases. All guarantees are void if the dog’s AKC name does not carry the prefix "Copper’s" or if documentation of annual heartworm and veterinary care is not provided. This Contract is non-transferable and represents the entirety of the agreement. The Buyer(s) hereby acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
