Common Questions
What is the adoption process at Copper Kennels?
Our process begins with an application, followed by a personal chat to find your best match. Once approved, a deposit reserves your spot, and we coordinate through to the joyful go-home day.
Do you provide a health guarantee?
Absolutely. All our puppies come with a comprehensive health guarantee covering genetic conditions. Parents are multi-generation health and DNA tested (OFA/PennHIP) for your peace of mind.
When can puppies go to their new homes?
Puppies typically transition to their new families at 8 to 10 weeks of age. This ensures they have sufficient time for early critical socialization and their first round of veterinary checks.
Are deposits refundable?
Reservation fees are generally non-refundable as they secure your specific spot in a litter. However, they are transferrable to a future litter if your circumstances change.
Can we visit the puppies before go-home day?
For the health and safety of our litters, we limit visitors until the puppies have received their first vaccinations. We provide frequent video and photo updates to all reserved families.
